Only way I seem to be able to get a new flightplan onto SD Mobile is to save it directly to routes folder on the card.

Have not tried "send to connected device" Will do so.

However, are there any limits re number of routes or other settings that affect whether sync sends a new (yes I saved it first) route to the card?

There's a thread for the new beta in the beta forum, I'll move this there.

Are you saying that when you go to open a route on your device, you don't see any routes in the list? Note that SkyDemon Plan doesn't actually put the routes in the Routes folder any more; SkyDemon Mobile does that on startup.

I do see a list of routes but the one just synced, having been created in the latest beta, is not there.

I have investigated further as follows:

1. Uninstalled & reinstalled latest beta on laptop.
2. Reinstalled SD mobile  .. with sync all routes UNticked
3. Synced SD mobile
4. Created new route
5. Synced
6. Looked in routes folder on the card  .. its not there (as per your post it should not ahve been).
7. Put card into mobile device, ensured restart of mobile from scratch and tried to load the new route
8. Its NOT on the list of available routes

2 ways to get it there

• Download route to connected device under Go Flying menu
• Copy & paste route from PC to the card's route folder

Looks to me as if transfer of synced routes to the routes folder on the card is not happening in latest beta OR sync not doing anything at all.

Using the Go Flying transfer does include WX, Tafs & Metars.

Hope that helps.

Anyone else using the card sync method (as opposed to Active Sync, MDC) and if so are you getting same problem?

I have also tried using Active Sync to see if this makes any difference. However, my laptop is on XP SP3 which does not work properly with Active Sync (needs SP2 or earlier!!).

I also cannot Sync the route by connecting the device under Go Flying menu. I have to also

Copy & paste route from PC to the card's route folder or Sync SD card out of of device and Sync it.



Since the latest beta version my Device has so for NOT crashed once I have done France twice and CI once .

ActiveSync works fine with XP SP3.



You either need to disable the firewall, or set exceptions for ActiveSync Application, Connection Manager, RAPI Manager and Service

I've just tried it out on my PC with Win 7 home and then my netbook with Win XP sp3.

Both synced OK, but initially when I put the new route in and I synced it and there was no route, however when I clicked 'send new route to connected device' under 'go flying' it transferred it OK.

There was no problem with SD though, I just hadn't saved the new route. as soon as I did  it transferred OK on both computers.

pink leader, if you have unticked the option for syncing routes, then NO routes will be synced when you press the sync button.

OK. I DID have it unticked as there are differences between my desktop & laptop re routes etc.

I did not realise that this applied to future syncing -- just thought it applied to installation of new version.

Anyway, now all ok. Sorry for not getting it.
